Joe Biden
Joseph “Joe” Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on November 20, 1942. He attended the University of Delaware and earned a B.A. in history and political science in 1965. He then attended Syracuse University where he earned his J.D. in 1968. After graduation, he moved back to Delaware and practiced law before being elected to the New Castle County Council in 1970. Biden was then elected to the U.S. Senate in 1972 and served there until 2009. In 1988 and again in 2008, Biden unsuccessfully ran for president. After his second failed attempt at the presidency, Biden became Vice President of the United States serving in the administration of President Barack Obama. He is married to his wife Jill and the couple has one daughter. Biden also had three children in his previous marriage.
Joe Biden announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination on April 25, 2019.
