Amy Klobuchar
Amy Klobuchar was born May 25, 1960 in Plymouth, Minnesota. She received her B.A. in political science in 1982 from Yale University and her J.D. from The University of Chicago in 1985. After graduation, Klobuchar moved back to Minnesota and became a corporate lawyer. She then unsuccessfully ran for Hennepin County Attorney in 1994 but then was elected to the position in 1998 and again in 2002. In 2006, she was elected to the U.S. Senate and was re-elected to that position in 2012 and 2018. She and her husband John live in Minnesota with their daughter.
Amy Klobuchar announced her candidacy for the Democratic nomination on February 10, 2019.
