Trump and Warren Win the Drake University Mock Caucus
On January 27, 2020, the Iowa Caucus Project held the 2020 Drake University Mock Caucus for students to learn more about the caucus process and how to participate. Here are the results at the end of the night:
Republican Mock Caucus
- 1st place – President Donald Trump
- 2nd place – Former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld
- 3rd place – Former U.S. Representative Joe Walsh
Democratic Mock Caucus
- U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren – 5 delegates
- Former South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg – 4 delegates
